Most Wednesdays (during school holidays only) and Sundays throughout July and August, between 1pm - 3pm in the courtyard mac provides FREE performances for families and friends to enjoy together. star2Sutton Park (Town Gate): Sutton Coldfield Carnival: 11.00-17.00

Sutton Coldfield Carnival is one of the biggest events that takes place in Sutton Coldfield every year. It's located in Sutton Park at the town gate, and has a variety of fun and entertainment for anyone that wishes to come along. There are fayre rides, carnival stalls, games, singers, karaoke, food, drink and much more. It's a free event and is wholly organised by a group of local volunteers. The profits from the carnival go to charities and community groups based in Sutton Coldfield.

Current Birmingham Poet Laureate Spoz and Birmingham Poet Laureate for 2005-6, Richard Grant (aka Dreadlockalien) have joined forces to give you all the help you could need. Come along and join in the fun each month from 6pm at the Library Theatre. The workshops are on the first Wednesday of the month and the next session will be on Wednesday 4 July. star3Himley Hall and Park: Dudley Performing Arts Summer Festival 2007 - Rock the Castle, 16.00-22.00

'Rock the Castle' is designed specifically for and by the Borough's teenagers. Thousands flock to Himley Park to see DPA's 'Rock the Castle' event held each summer in July. This year's 'Rock the Castle' event will be on Fri 6th July, 4pm-10pm as the opener to DPA's annual Summer Festival which incorporates a whole weekend of arts festivities performed by the local community, for the local community. The Over 18's Bar will be available at RTC and throughout the Saturday and Sunday events. Please note that attendees are prohibited from bringing their own alcohol to this Friday event.

Rock bands will be performing live in front of a panel of BBC WM judges and the winners will then go on to star on stage at the Robin 2 in Bilston on Saturday 14th July, and to perform at Radio WM.

Friends of the Museum throw open the doors to the 1837 Darby Hand Chapel and invite visitors to join them as they re-enact a traditional Sunday School Anniversary Service. Children in traditional costume head a procession along Canal Street to the Chapel where they will lead the congregation in hymns. It's fun and games at the Black Country Living Museum where youngsters are spoilt for choice when it comes to entertainment over the school holidays. Children can hop, skip and jump back in time to the Museum's period village where the young and the young at heart can roll hoops along the cobbled street, play hopscotch on the pavement and test their skill with whip and top and skittles. A variety of parlour games are played in Station Road cottages and craft-making projects, including writing with old fashioned pen and ink, bookmark and mask-making, take place in the old-fashioned school-room.
