The names of Jabez and Amos children - eg John, Jabez, Susan, Martha - point to them being brothers and being siblings of Jonathan and Mary's other children. An Ann Tester, Lydia Tester and Mary Tester get married in the parish of St Margaret, Leicester 1823, 1827, and 1829. This Parish is where our Testers can be found, and the age of Ann, Lydia and Mary (given the years in which they got married) could suggest that they are of they same generation of John, Jabez and Amos, although I cannot find any evidence to suggest that they are indeed siblings. |
